I can relate, as I myself too have been searching and am still searching to improve this one thing, that is defining such a huge part of your, my, our parent's life and that of every person we know. The topic I am talking about, a blessing to some and a curse to others, is finances!

I'm sure you've already heard sayings like: "You don't need money to be happy" "Money is the root of all evil", "Having money does not mean you're a good person" Well, let me tell you the truth... None of these statements were giving me any comfort when I was starting out and had no money.
The guy in the picture was me 10 years ago, I was broke, had no connections and things were really not going well for me.

At this point I felt like a failure and this was a big turning point for me in 2011. I rented this 300 square foot apartment for 850.00 per month in LA. All of my “friends” were living in Santa Monica and Venice and were paying 2,500-3,000 in rent and leasing luxury cars and they thought I was practically homeless and most of them looked down on me for this and not friends with any of them today.
We just grew apart and after this period in my life, they stopped calling me and I stopped calling them. They thought they were something special and thought I was a loser because of the image I portrayed. I couldn’t have cared any less. That same year I sold a home for $4,500,000 among many other multi million dollar houses and my goal was simple...

My goal was to get around people that were smarter than me to make up for my lack of formal education, read as much as humanly possible (note the stack of books against the wall) and save money.

I wanted to get away from that pay check, commission to commission lifestyle as fast as humanly possible. I never cared what other people thought about me, I only cared about my duty as a provider and what was most important in my own life.

Funny enough many of my friends probably still live in those apartments, never having owned anything, the only difference is their rent has probably doubled... simply because they can’t save with all of the money they are wasting and all the people they are trying to impress. Fun fact, this 850.00 dollar apartment now rents for 1,650.00...
